Gerard Collins

Gerard Collins (1957– ) is a Canadian painter born in Saint John, New Brunswick. Collins’ artwork can be found at the National Gallery of Canada, The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, and the New Brunswick Museum.
Collins initially studied at St. Martin’s School of Art in London, England, but ultimately completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. Collins also spent time abroad in Germany, studying under Gerhard Richter. Collins now lives and works in Saint John as a contemporary painter. In 2001, Collins received the Strathbutler Award, a biennial prize awarded to New Brunswick visual artists.
